Abstract

We study coherence properties of a module M over its endomorphism ring. Hereby we extend to modules known characterizations of coherent and π-coherent rings. Moreover, we discuss the case that the category addM is covariantly, respectively contravariantly, finite in modR. Finally, we give a new characterization of endofinite modules.
