Abstract
|

Let X be a smooth projective
variety of dimension n and G a simple linear algebraic group of exceptional
type acting regularly and nontrivially on X. Then it is known that n has
a lower bound rG which only depends on the Dynkin type of G. In this
article we give a classification of X with an action of G in the case where
n = rG + 1.
